Originally from Michigan, I’ve spent time in North Carolina, Virginia and now Tennessee during my young career. I initially came to Johnson City and planned on being here for a few years, then moving on to a larger city. Instead, I fell in love with the community and everything it had to offer. To me, Johnson City is home now. You have tremendous outdoor activities and can be on a mountain or by a body of water within minutes. We have a revitalized downtown, growing craft beer scene, bike trails and ample opportunities for young professionals to socialize. Johnson City has a lot of the resources larger cities have, but with mountain views and a slower pace.I’ve been the Cardinals GM since 2014 and I believe our growth is directly tied to the progression of Johnson City. I’ve been the Cardinals GM since 2014 and I believe our growth is directly tied to the progression of Johnson City. We’ve expanded beyond baseball and host everything from concerts and festivals to kickball and 5Ks. While Cardinals baseball is still our primary focus, we are excited to transform TVA Credit Union Ballpark into a multi-purpose venue. Nothing motivates my staff and me more than seeing all of our fans smiling inside the ballpark and having a great time.
At the end of the day, my job with the Cardinals is to make memories for all of our fans. The city you live in has a similar impact. No matter what the future holds, Johnson City will always be a special place to me, and a place where some of my fondest memories come from.
